JOB MISSION:
Lead Global Inline Apparel Product development to create the highest quality products that meet business objectives for the Global inline (including MADE apparel, Men’s and Women’s Inline, Running) and Global Graphics and SMU/Key account business.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Works closely with VP Product Development and R&D Director peers to develop and implement R&D strategy.
Build strong collaboration and understanding of Global and Regional apparel and footwear categories; identify, collaborate, and... capitalize on synergistic opportunities.
Leads Product Development of Global Inline apparel (including MADE in US apparel, Men’s and Women’s Inline and Running) and Global Key Accounts SMU businesses.
Coaches and supports cross-functional POD team to guide/lead schedule, accurate cost targets, appropriate material selection, and product testing plans from prototyping through successful commercialization to fully meet the brand vision, overall business objectives and financial goals.
Leads collaboration across Product Management, Design, Material Design, Material Development, Planning, Sourcing and Quality to drive success from planning to delivery and end-user satisfaction.
Hire, train, coach, mentor and provide professional development of world class R&D talent.
Demonstrates knowledge of the global athletic apparel marketplace with a particular focus on fabric innovations and trends, performance and athletic constructions and supporting creation approaches.

REQUIREMENTS OF SUCCESS:

Minimum 15 years working in apparel R&D; experience working directly with Domestic US manufacturing, Bodywear, Performance Running a plus.
10 years' experience managing and developing associates.
