The Real Estate transactional team deal with some of the UK's largest and most high-profile deals acting for developers, investors, funders and major occupiers across a number of sectors.
Our clients include Institutional Investors, developers in the PBSA, Hospitality and Logistics sectors and corporate occupiers in the retail, office and leisure sectors.
We are keen to appoint an experienced Director to join our established Real Estate Transactional team In London, with an opportunity to progress in to the partnership.
Responsibilities
As a Real Estate Director, you will oversee and manage all aspects of real estate transactions within the firm. You will be responsible for leading a team of Lawyers, advising clients on a broad range of property transactions, and ensuring that all transactions are executed efficiently and in compliance with UK law.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong commercial acumen and the ability to cultivate and... maintain client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of solicitors, paralegals, and support staff, ensuring high standards of performance and professional development.
• Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the transaction process.
• Transactional Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, development projects, and financing arrangements.
• Legal Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice to clients on complex real estate matters, including regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and risk management.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop marketing strategies, and contribute to the growth and expansion of the firm's real estate practice.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all transactions comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and manage any risks associated with transactions.
• Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of transactions, including budgeting, billing, and fee negotiations, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
Experience and Knowledge
• Qualified Solicitor: Admitted to practice in England and Wales with a strong academic background.
• Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in real estate law, with significant experience in transactional work within a law firm environment.
• Leadership: Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of UK real estate law, including commercial and residential property transactions, landlord and tenant law, and property financing.
• Client Focus: Strong client management skills with a track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to understand and contribute to clients' business strategies and provide commercially sound legal advice.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
• Business Development: Demonstrated ability to generate new business and expand existing client relationships.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
