Turner Morum’s Rating Team have built up an extensive portfolio of clients over a wide range of business sectors. The diverse client/property base includes well known roadside drive-thru chains, large portfolio petrol retailers, popular High Street retail brands, heavy industrial, trade counters, hotels, cinemas and many more.

Role Overview

Due to notable organic growth within our Rating Department, where we continue to add significantly to our diverse, nationwide clients over a range of property types, an exciting new role has evolved. We are seeking a new member to join our 7-strong, highly... regarded, Rating Team.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a flexible team player capable of working in a multi-faceted role in a busy professional environment. The role is based in Central London with the potential to partially work from home.

The ideal candidate would be RICS/IRRV accredited and have experience in business rates within either the Valuation Office Agency or in private practice. Although ‘Specialist Rating’ knowledge is preferred within this role, it is not essential; candidates will however be able to demonstrate their aptitude and enthusiasm to learn new skills.

The role includes:-
• Property Inspections – visiting and measuring a diverse range of sites
• Rating Valuations – covering a number of methods due to a diverse client base
• Business Rates Mitigation – exploring rate savings opportunities for clients through rate reliefs
• Client Management and Reporting – client meetings, portfolio management, report writing, budgeting advice, and savings/refund management.

What we are looking for:-
• Self-motivated individual at Surveyor, Senior Surveyor or potentially Associate level
• Ideally RICS/IRRV Accredited
• Enthusiastic individual with a willingness to learn, develop and adapt
• Good people and communication skills
• Ability to operate as part of a small team and as an individual
• Good IT skills for basic software such as Microsoft Office.

Salary Range:
• Surveyor £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience/qualification)
• Senior Surveyor £45,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience/qualification)
• Associate £60,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience/qualification
