With drivers across our network we are always ready-to-go! We are a growing VC backed company, set to disrupt the logistics market. We are growing and developing our Retail footprint with commercial partners such as Task Rabbit and IKEA. This involves defining and delivering a significant and increasing volume of warehousing and storage based delivery solutions either to house goods prior to delivery to customers homes, or to provide suitable locations for customers to collect their goods ordered online. The Opportunity: Warehouse Operative Your role will be to be the expert in the room and ensure that each and every item is scanned for tracking, stored correctly and to support... customers when they come to collect their goods. You will be the liaison point for transport providers and customers and you will then ensure that all goods are safely stored and successfully collected from the allocated locker at the correct time. We have opportunities across a number of sites centred around the Hammersmith area. Although you’ll predominantly work from one site, on occasion there may be a requirement to work from one of the other nearby locations. Key responsibilities will include : Ensuring that the effective flow of goods from delivery vehicles, to internal and external storage unit requiring the use of trollies. This role may involve some heavy lifting (up to 25kgs) so manual handling training will be provided. : Supporting customers when they come to collect their deliveries - dealing with any questions or queries with positive affect. : Continually strive to heighten Shifts brand image, through the provision of exceptional customer service. : Regularly using Shift technology to support the tracking of deliveries. : Communicate effectively with the Shift Operations team. : Ensuring that the site is kept in a safe, secure and presentable fashion for both customers and colleagues alike. To be successful in this position we are looking for the following attributes and experience : Proven track record of working successfully in a warehousing, inventory or stock management role. : Be physically fit and comfortable to move large items on trolleys as this role may require some heavy lifting up to 25kg. : Strong communication skills with an ability to manage working relationships with multiple people. : Extremely high personal standards. : Trustworthy and hard working and enjoys working on site, predominantly as a one-person team with remote support. : Strong time management ethos. : A process driven individual with an eye for detail. : A positive, can-do attitude! Job Types : Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours Salary : £10.00-£10.85 per hour Schedule: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift
