Your future role within QRT:

We are seeking a dynamic Applicative DevOps Engineer to join our dedicated sub-team within a vibrant tech environment in London. This role is pivotal in maintaining and developing our infrastructure and CI, deploying new applications, and providing essential support and troubleshooting assistance.

• Infrastructure and CI Maintenance: Ensure the seamless operation and development of our infrastructure and continuous integration processes.
• Application Deployment: Collaborate with the development team to deploy new applications efficiently and effectively.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Offer expert troubleshooting support and assistance when issues arise, ensuring a smooth and efficient resolution process.

Your present skillset:

The perfect candidate is an IT generalist with a broad knowledge base in both development and operations, embodying the core principles of DevOps. This includes:

• Proficient understanding of coding, infrastructure management, system administration, and DevOps toolchains.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departments.
• Deep knowledge of system architecture, provisioning, and administration.
• Experience with developer tools and practices such as source control, code reviews, unit testing, and agile methodologies.
• Mandatory: Strong computer science foundation, meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash or Python), and familiarity with CI/CD, Kubernetes, or Jenkins.
• Strongly Advised: Intermediate Python coding skills, experience with GitLab/GitHub, and familiarity with a cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• Nice to Have: Experience with Linux, Docker, GitLab-CI, monitoring and logging tools, any language toolchains, and basic understanding of machine architecture.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Open to developers eager to delve into DevOps practices or DevOps professionals seeking closer collaboration with developers.
